Vancouver, Washington, is the largest suburb of Portland by population. It sits across the Columbia River from Portland, in Clark County.

[edit] Mass transit

Vancouver is served by C-Tran, a countywide transit agency controlled by elected officials from the county's cities. C-Tran offers various connections to TriMet across both the Interstate 5 and Interstate 205 bridges.

[edit] Bicycling in Vancouver

Unlike in Portland, cyclists of all ages are required to wear bike helmets in Vancouver.

[edit] Media

Major local news media include The Columbian, a daily newspaper, and the Vancouver Voice, a monthly based in west Vancouver.
