Ron Buel is a Portland-based civic activist who served as a chief of staff to former Mayor Neil Goldschmidt and later co-founded Willamette Week and the anti-freeway activist group Sensible Transportation Options for People. As of 2011, he has been working to create the Portland Voice, a proposed nonprofit journalism startup to cover civic affairs in the Portland area.
