Rick Van Beveren is a former TriMet board member, serving as the board's chair from 2010 until 2012. As of 2012, his family owns the Reedville Cafe in Hillsboro, where he lives.
Gov. John Kitzhaber decided not to reappoint Van Beveren to the board for his 2012 term. He was ultimately replaced by Bruce Warner.
