RelayRides
From PortlandAfoot
RelayRides was one of the first commercial personal carsharing companies operating in the United States. Other early startups were Getaround and Spride. Relay Rides launched its first pilot service in Cambridge, MA, in April 2010 and by March 2011 was available in Boston and San Francisco.
In December 2010, RelayRides announced that it had secured venture capital funding from Google Ventures.
Portland carsharing pioneer Dave Brook worked as a consultant for RelayRides in 2010, but was not working for the company by March 2011.
