Portland Mall MAX extension
From PortlandAfoot
The Portland Mall MAX extension was a project to move the downtown Portland Yellow Line onto Portland's Transit Mall while connecting it to Union Station and Portland State University. The project also added the Green Line to the same tracks, and prepared downtown for the eventual addition of the Orange Line. The redeveloped mall opened in 2009.
The project was overseen by Neil McFarlane, then TriMet's executive director for capital projects.
