Piedmont

Piedmont is a neighborhood in inner north and northeast Portland, east of Interstate 5 and west of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, between Ainsworth and the Columbia River.
Thanks in part to the Vancouver-Williams bicycle couplet and the Yellow Line, the south part of Piedmont is one of the neighborhoods with the shortest commutes in the city, and also one of the neighborhoods with the fastest-growing share of short commutes. According to 2005-2009 Census estimates, 87 percent of the area's workers commute less than 30 minutes to work, up 16% from 2000.
