Old Town

From PortlandAfoot

Jump to: navigation, search

Old Town is a neighborhood dominated by bars and nightclubs that straddles Burnside Street immediately west of the Willamette River]], within the area Portland Afoot refers to as downtown Portland. With all four MAX lines and most of the city's frequent service bus lines, it's one of the best-served transit areas.

It also arguably includes Ankeny Street's car-free block, the city's only street without motor vehicles.

The April 2010 bus fatality took place on the western edge of Old Town.
