Galadriel Mozee
From PortlandAfoot
Galadriel Mozee is a Portland-based human rights advocate working, starting in January 2012, as organizing director for OPAL Environmental Justice Oregon. She took on some of the duties of former co-Executive Director Joseph Santos-Lyons.
Mozee is a former program coordinator for the Healing Roots Center and associate director at Sisters of the Road. Before her hiring, she worked for OPAL as a consultant evaluating the organization's performance.
In a January 2012 greeting to the OPAL community, she wrote:
"Environmental justice work is human rights work. ... At the heart of my work is a belief in self-determination, that the voices of those most impacted by discrimination and oppression are the voices that will and must determine and define the work going forward."
