Evan Manvel is a political and communications consultant who served as executive director of the Bicycle Transportation Alliance from 2005 to 2007, when he resigned and was succeeded by the organization's policy director, Scott Bricker.

Under Manvel's management the BTA, among other accomplishments, launched its Safe Routes to Schools program and doubled its full-time staff from 7 to 14.

Among other positions, Manvel has served as co-director of the Corvallis Environmental Center, as a policy fellow for the Surface Transportation Policy Project and as director of education and research for 1000 Friends of Oregon.

In 2004, he helped found the Bike Walk Vote political action committee. He also co-chaired its 2011 reboot.
