Eugene is the largest Oregon city outside the Portland metro area. It's home to the University of Oregon and the Lane Transit District and an excellent place for bicycling.

Eugene is the southern terminus of the Amtrak Cascades line. It's also served by Amtrak's Coast Starlight.
