Dan Blocher

Dan Blocher was named TriMet's capital projects director on July 22, 2010, succeeding Neil McFarlane.
[edit] Career
Blocher joined the agency's capital projects division in 1995 and worked on extension of the MAX to Beaverton and Hillsboro. He left TriMet for London in 2000 to work on the Westcoast Route Modernisation Programme, an upgrade of a mainline railroad from London to Glasgow, Scotland for Parsons Brinckerhoff.
In 2002, Blocher returned to TriMet to become senior director of capital projects, where he worked on development of the Yellow Line, WES commuter rail and Green Line.
Blocher holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from George Washington University.

At the time of his hiring, Blocher was 49 and lived in Lake Oswego with his wife Donna.
