From Portland Afoot
The City of Portland is the municipal government agency that regulates Portland's building and development, builds and maintains its roads, parks and sewers, pays its cops and firefighters and owns the Portland Aerial Tram and Portland Streetcar. It is led by the Portland City Council.
Key transportation-related departments include the Portland Bureau of Transportation, the Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability and the Portland Police Bureau.
