Disciplined for posting video, November 2011
As reported by The Oregonian, TriMet put Margulies on paid leave pending an investigation of how he obtained a video of a MAX train crashing into the end of the Yellow Line. Margulies posted it on his YouTube account, the paper said.
He started as a bus driver while an undergraduate at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, then later in the 80s worked as a bus operator in Santa Rosa, Calif.
"I've always been interested in transit material," he said in an episode of the Lars Larson show.
According to his Facebook page, Margulies grew up in Sharon, Mass., and according to his Twitter account he holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a master's in education from Antioch Midwest in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
