TriMet's 8-Jackson Park/NE 15th connects Marquam Hill, Portland City Center, Old Town/Chinatown, Union Station, the Rose Quarter, Lloyd Center, Irvington, NE Portland and the East Columbia neighborhood, via Terwilliger, 5th/6th, Everett/Glisan, Multnomah, 15th, Dekum and Durham.
The 8 is one of TriMet's frequent service lines.
At the time of Portland Afoot's 2011 TriMet bus rankings, the 8 the fourth least reliable frequent service line, with 34 percent of its buses arriving bunched.

The 8 was among the frequent service lines most affected by TriMet's September 2010 service cuts, losing 9 percent of its vehicle hours.
